NIFA is offering “modernization” resources to Nebraska manufacturers and agricultural/food product processors. The Initiative is intended to stimulate modernization of assets by Nebraska small businesses (from 5 to 100 employees, net depreciable Nebraska-based assets up to $5 million). The resources are available as either a grant (“MAG”) or loan loss reserve (“CAP”).

Pat Langan is Executive Director of the Greater Fremont Development Council, a position he’s held since June 1, 2010 providing opportunities for business retention, attraction and growth in the greater Fremont, Nebraska area.

Prior to coming to Fremont, Pat was an Economic Development Consultant for thirteen years with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, primarily in the area of business attraction.

Pat is a member of the Nebraska Economic Developers Association (NEDA) and the Mid-America Economic Development Council (MAEDC) for which he served as 2009 President. MAEDC is an organization that provides key resources, networking, and conference opportunities to economic development professionals in a 10-state region.

Barb Pierce, Executive Assistant for the Greater Fremont Development Council came to the organization from the Fremont Area Chamber in March 2011 where she held the position of Guest Relations and Special Projects Coordinator. She is a member of the Nebraska Economic Developers Association (NEDA) and the Mid-America Economic Development Council (MAEDC).
