We're ending the year with many changes intended to make Fremont a great choice for new and expanding businesses. Here are two important developments:

* Fremont Technology Park: Design work begins soon now that an engineer has been hired. Thanks to the investment and support of Great Plains Communications and American Broadband, our community now has a redundant fiber network. We truly appreciate their commitment. In today's competitive business environment, redundant fiber is essential.

* Natura Pet Products Expansion: The city is on schedule with improvements to bring the old Izaak Walton trap range land to residential standards before completing sale of the property to Natura Pet Products. The company's Fremont campus supports Natura's commitment to premium products for complete pet health. We look forward to hearing more about Natura's plans next year.
