GFDC Member Celebrates Giving! Way to go RTG Medical!

RTG MEDICAL DONATES MORE THAN $61,000 TO LOCAL NONPROFITS

FREMONT, NEBRASKA, January 3, 2018 – RTG Medical, a medical staffing agency headquarted in Fremont, Nebraska, fundraised more than $61,000 through employee and company donations for their 2018 community partners. Partners include the Nebraska and Dodge County Humane Societies, Wreaths Across America, Fremont Family YMCA, and Special Olympics Nebraska and Fremont teams.

“Hearing from Special Olympics athletes and seeing the injured animals from the Nebraska Humane Society was very eye opening and it strongly encouraged me to donate,” said Jordain Smith, recruiter at RTG Medical. “I feel very lucky to be a part of a company that values giving back to the community.”

RTG Medical’s Community Partnership Program is an employee-driven program with organizations that align with the values of the company and their employees In 2017, RTG Medical donated nearly $30,000 to local nonprofits in the form of covering costs for Special Olympic athletes’ uniforms, delivering medical supplies to the Nebraska Humane Society, and sponsoring a swim program with the Fremont Family YMCA for first graders in the community.

In an effort to take more of a hands-on approach to corporate giving, the selected nonprofits were invited to a company event hosted at the Alamo Drafthouse and given the opportunity to present what the employee donations will go towards in 2018.

“The greatest gift of gratitude that RTG can give the community that has supported it’s foundation and growth over the years is ‘investment.’” Jeremy Guenthner, COO and co-owner of RTG Medical said. “When we, the community and RTG, invest in each other we can move the ball forward and make a difference…and making a difference in the end is what is measured and remembered. It’s the legacy of an effort.”
