Early childhood care and education linked to economic development in communities

KEARNEY, Neb. — More than 400 community leaders from 92 Nebraska communities came together to share their successes and failures when it comes to early childhood education.

The 2019 Thriving Children, Families and Communities Conference is back for only its second year in Kearney.

This day–long conference features community leaders from a wide range of diverse communities in Nebraska including Scottsbluff, Gothenburg, McCook, Omaha and Wayne.

The community leaders discussed how they built programs, and how childhood care and education is an economic development tool for their community's economy.
