11 Oct 2019

headerFremont, Nebraska The Greater Fremont Development Council (GFDC) has launched the Welstead Fund (Fund)– a micro loan fund that can be used for façade and interior improvements of buildings located within Fremont, Nebraska. “The Welstead Fund is another way we are supporting Fremont’s small business community, while simultaneously improving the appearance of our main shopping and business districts. We appreciate the support of local investors who have helped to make the Fund possible and look forward to reviewing applications for improvement projects,” said Garry Clark, Executive Director, Greater Fremont Development Council.

The Fund can be used to complete a variety of building improvements, including signage, painting, HVAC, electric repairs, energy efficiency improvements, or to purchase new windows, doors and lighting.  Regardless of the type of improvements being done, they must make a high, positive impact on the façade and interior of the building. Qualifying projects can receive funding of up to $5,000.
