The Small Business Education Series begins on Thursday, April 21, and continues every third Thursday of the month through Thursday, November 17

The Greater Fremont Development Council (GFDC) is launching a Small Business Education Series which will continue every third Thursday of the month from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. throughout 2022. Each session will be a class that runs for an hour on a variety of topics relevant to small business owners, including credit building, risk management, tax planning, and more.

The first session, which is free and open to all, focuses on Credit Building and will introduce participants to the basic fundamentals of credit, including how it works, how to establish it, and how to build it. An emphasis will be placed on distinctions between personal credit and business credit, and examples will be given of when the two are the same. Resources will be provided to help guide those that need further individualized assistance with their credit. We look forward to welcoming the session’s leader, who is joining us from the Greater Omaha Chamber REACH team.

The sessions are open to all and are particularly suitable for small business owners, anyone looking to kickstart their business, or for those thinking about starting a small business or learning more about what this entails. Guest speakers will include members of the Greater Omaha Reach Team and the Nebraska Enterprise Fund, as well as local experts from the greater Fremont area.

“We are so excited to be able to offer this new program to the greater Fremont business community,” said Megan Skiles, Executive Director of the GFDC, “these informational sessions will provide excellent information while providing a space for local small business owners to network and collaborate.”
