The Small Business Education Series began this spring and covers a wide range of topics of interest to aspiring and current small business owners.

Earlier this year the Greater Fremont Development Council (GFDC) launched a Small Business Education Series, with each session covering a topic relevant to small business owners, including credit building, risk management, tax planning, and more.

Our next two sessions are on the Growth Wheel and will include two parts. Part 1 will be held on Thursday, August 11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and Part 2 will be held on Thursday, August 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The information and presentation for these two sessions will be provided by the Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF). As BC Clark of the NEF explained, “The Growth Wheel series is a tool that helps the entrepreneur see the big picture of the business, so they get focused on the most important area in the business right now and allows them to make an action plan on how to move the business forward.” Clark said another area of focus will be on “the ability of the entrepreneur/owner to create their business profile, adding their financials and marketing to it, rounding it out as a complete business plan.”

Please note: participants should register to attend both Growth Wheel sessions.

“The small business education series has been a great success so far, with incredible turnout for our first two sessions held earlier this year. We look forward to continuing to engage the greater Fremont business community, and to provide this valuable resource,” said Megan Skiles, Executive Director of the GFDC.
