Session 5 of the Greater Fremont Development Council’s Small Business Education Series is on Wednesday, October 19

The Small Business Education Series began this spring and covers a wide range of topics of interest to aspiring and current small business owners.

Earlier this year the Greater Fremont Development Council (GFDC) launched a Small Business Education Series, with each session covering a topic relevant to small business owners, including credit building, risk management, tax planning, and more.

Wednesday, October 19, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including lunch

Registration Fee: $29.99 (cost covers course material, computer rental for the day, and lunch)

The session’s presenter is Jacob Malousek of Ark Financial Services. He has developed a training program to help small businesses learn and understand how to use QuickBooks to operate and manage their operations. Ark Financial Services has worked with over 1300 small businesses and organizations helping them develop their bookkeeping systems.

Topics that will be covered include setting-up QuickBooks, working with lists and bank accounts, entering sales information, receiving and making deposits, and entering and paying bills.

Sessions are open to all and are particularly suitable for current small business owners, and for anyone looking to kick-start their business. Classes are also tailored for people who are thinking about starting a small business and who are interested in learning more about what they would need to do to turn their ideas into a business.
