Fremont Housing Funds Now Available

FREMONT HOUSING FUNDS NOW AVAILABLE through the Northeast Nebraska Development District.

The City of Fremont currently has funding available for owner-occupied housing rehabilitation and single-family rental rehabilitation. Funds from this program will be spent in the "Fremont Target Area" (see below) and can be used for weatherization, roofing, siding, foundations, electrical, plumbing, insulation, windows, etc.

Income guidelines must be met in order to qualify for this program. Eligible applicants will be able to receive a Forgiveable Loan* up to $25,000 for their rehabilitation needs. (A forgiveable loan does not require monthly payment and is forgiven over a 10 year period. As long as the owner-occupant remains in the home for the full 10 years, no payment is required.)
