Small town, big culture
25 Jan 2016
Arts and cultural activities add value to a community. They enrich our lives, bringing us joy and inspiration. Arts programs help give a town character and a voice of its own.
Sometimes people in small towns understand the importance of the arts best. In a place like Fremont, Nebraska, talent doesn’t go unnoticed. The Fremont Area Art Association has a 50-year history of arts promotion and appreciation. They bring in local and regional artists to display work each month at Gallery 92 West.
Fremont is also home to the Louis May Museum. This Classical Revival style home built in 1874 with stunning gardens is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
