Modest growth predicted for Nebraska in first half of 2017

Nebraska’s economic growth is predicted to be modest during the first six months of the new year, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Bureau of Business Research reported Friday.

The state’s leading economic indicator fell below zero — which is neutral — to negative 0.32 percent in November.

That’s down from October’s revised figure, positive 0.10 percent and September’s revised 1.01 percent.
