The GFDC Welcomes Two New Board Members

Eliza Ferzely and Tim McCormick have been chosen to serve on the Greater Fremont Development Council (GFDC) board. Ms. Ferzely is the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing for Midland University and Mr. McCormick is the President/CEO of Fremont Contract Carriers. They have demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the greater Fremont community and will be a valuable addition to our board. We look forward to their participation on our board and the insights they will bring to the table.

As the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing for Midland University, Ms. Ferzely has led the process to rebrand the university and build structure to grow enrollment through recruitment and retention. Through the efforts of Ms. Ferzely and her team, the university has experienced seven years of record enrollment. Prior to taking her current position, she was a controller for the university and has extensive experience in financial matters. As a controller, she led the annual budget and audit process for the university, in addition to participating in contract negotiations and management. She has also worked for First National of Nebraska, Inc. and the Federal Reserve Bank. Her wealth of experience will be a valuable asset to GFDC and the entire Fremont community.

Mr. McCormickMr. McCormick

Mr. McCormick is a proven leader who has spent over thirty years in the trucking industry. He is the President/CEO of Fremont Contract Carriers, a premier transportation and logistics company with coverage throughout the United States and Canada. Prior to becoming the CEO, Mr. McCormick was the company’s COO for fourteen years. FCC operates over 400 trucks, 1000 high cubed dry vans, and 100 flatbed, curtain-side, and step-deck trailers. His experience as the CEO of a Fremont-based company will provide valuable insights to GFDC as we seek to support our current businesses and recruit additional companies to the area.

The Greater Fremont Development Council is strong and effective because we have a solid team working hand-in-hand with industry and community leaders, both on our board and on initiatives.
