Lake DeSmet

Monument Point is a recreation and boating access location along the banks of Lake Desmet. Lake Desmet offers exceptional fishing and boating opportunities. Surface area of the lake is almost 3600 acres with depths to 120 feet. Anglers can expect to catch Walleye, Rainbow, Brown, Lake, and cutthroat trout species, Kokanee Salmon, perch, and Rock Bass. Boats can be launched from the concrete ramp and the dock and outhouse facilities are handicap accessible. Taking Exit 47 on I-90, east on Shell Creek County Rd can reach the destination to Monument Road and Monument Point.
