Hanna:Keelan and Associates to Host Housing Study Listening Sessions in Dodge County & Cedar Bluffs

The Greater Fremont Development Council (GFDC) is currently updating the 2017 Dodge County & Communities-Wide Housing Study, with the guidance of the county-wide Housing Task Force. The five-year study will also include the neighboring Village of Cedar Bluffs and is being funded by the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, with matching funds from GFDC, Fremont Area Community Foundation (FACF) and the Cedar Bluffs Education Foundation (CBEF). GFDC and CBEF are completing the Housing Study with the assistance of Hanna:Keelan Associates, P.C., a Lincoln, Nebraska-based community-planning and research consulting firm.

A public participation program will be included in the Housing Study process consisting of “Community Housing Listening Sessions” in Cedar Bluffs and select Dodge County communities to discuss current and future Community housing needs. The communities’ input will greatly assist GFDC in completing the County-Wide Housing Study with strategies for affordable housing.

Due to COVID-19, we are encouraging those attending to practice social distancing. Chairs will be spaced out accordingly. Please note – masks are strongly recommended. If you are not able to or don’t feel comfortable attending in person, tune into am1340. KHUB will be broadcasting the listening sessions live.
