John C. Fremont was an American explorer. His published accounts of westward exploration were wildly popular and helped advance the cause of Manifest Destiny, or westward expansion, in the U.S. For this, he became known as the “Pathfinder.”
Each year, Fremont celebrates this adventurous history with John C. Fremont Days. The award-winning, three-day festival takes place in July and commemorates the history of the area with over 150 events, including a car and bike show, sporting events, children’s events, arts, craft and vendor fair, food courts, antique and collectors show, rough stock rodeo, SPAM cooking contest, a historical parade, beer gardens, music, and much more!
