A solid and sustainable economic development plan doesn't focus solely on trying to attract businesses from outside a region. It evaluates the strengths and challenges of the current economy and encourages the growth of existing businesses.
The Greater Fremont Development Council's Business Retention & Expansion program prioritizes the retention and growth of existing companies. We visit and survey businesses to help understand their needs and assist them in finding resources and workforce information. The visits help inform long range planning and legislative decision-making impacting business needs and incentives.
