The Fremont Family YMCA is embarking on a capital campaign to build a new indoor aquatics center. The center will replace the original instructional pool and the 25-meter lap pool with massive improvements. The goal will be a state-of-the-art Myrtha pool, including a diving well, an area for either twelve 25-yard lanes or six 50-meter lanes for competitive swimming, and a section suitable for instructional classes and fitness. As the second largest indoor pool in Nebraska, we’ll be able to host state swim competitions, bringing thousands of dollars into the local economy during the weekend-long events.
