While the spacious stretch of East 23rd Street has never been anywhere near vacant, a recent wave of construction added numerous eateries to the well-traveled area over the course of this year.
From wings, to sushi to Chinese, there now is a little something that will satisfy most people’s palates. Fremont’s economic growth and expansion lands in the No. 2 spot on the Tribune’s list of the Top 10 Stories of 2016.
For months, Westbound drivers entering Fremont using 23rd Street might have been put off a bit by the lane closures around the Yaeger Road area. Trucks carrying supplies for three food companies entered, parked and generally took up street space at times, however, the temporary inconveniences have led to expanded food options for Fremonters.
