Therese Hoyle
Department: Economic Development
Therese Hoyle is GFDC’s new director of development and grant administration and will be overseeing GFDC’s economic development projects as well as programming, grants, and events.
Therese is excited to be returning to GFDC; she was a program coordinator at GFDC from 2015 to 2018. During this time, GFDC partnered with several other organizations to secure the Costco/Lincoln Premium Poultry project for the State of Nebraska and the Fremont community. Therese joined that team and helped during the crucial startup years to build it to over 1,100 employees at full capacity.
Therese found she had a yearning to go back to economic development, so she was eager to rejoin GFDC when the Director of Development and Grant Administration position opportunity presented itself.
“We are so glad to have Therese in the role of Director of Development and Grant Administration,” said Megan Skiles, Executive Director of GFDC. “Therese will take our housing development initiatives and our new Fremont Business Park to the next level, as well as building out more events to engage residents and ensure the community plays an active part in determining Fremont’s future growth,” Megan shared.
Since Therese moved to Fremont eight years ago, she has continuously helped the Fremont community grow and thrive by contributing her time, skills, and energy. She stated “I feel it is important to actively give back to the community where you live.” She is on the Board of Directors for three local organizations: Fremont Health Foundation, Keep Fremont Beautiful, and Fremont Kiwanis. “All three of these organizations are centered on making the Fremont community a wonderful place to live, and raising your family, which is so important,” said Therese.
Therese is thrilled to be joining the GFDC team. She shared “Fremont is thriving and growing. I love seeing forward movement that will help sustain Fremont’s future. It is truly a wonderful thing when your work efforts play a part in making the place where you live, a better place for all to live!”
