Nebraska Turf Products is growing.
The company, headquartered in Omaha, is starting construction this week on a new 12,500-square-foot warehouse at its fertilizer plant and store north of Valley on Old Highway 275.
Estimated completion time for the $300,000 project, being built by Daubert Construction of Fremont, is about eight weeks.
Construction is not expected to interrupt production or service.
“Basically we’re putting up more storage space so we can keep up with demand, stock more product,” company president Chris Olson said.
“In Omaha we have some outside storage, but as our business is growing we need to have more product in stock. I don’t make everything myself, and I have to keep stuff in stock so I don’t run out,” he said.
Much of the plant’s production goes to commercial customers, but Nebraska Turf is also making headway in the retail market, company officials said.
