New business opens on old Bernheisel site

What was formerly the dilapidated Bernheisel Salvage Yard property has been transformed into an eye-friendly facility where people can recycle metal products and purchase car parts.
On Thursday, Scrap-It Auto Parts and Main Street Metal Recycling officially opened its doors for business at 1510 S. Main St.
Hours of operation are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. Saturday and noon through 4 p.m. Sunday.
