Businesses that need to recruit employees benefit from understanding the size, demographics and motivations of the labor pool. A recent Nebraska state survey evaluated many of these areas.

Questions were asked about worker skill or education level, compensation expectations and willingness to commute, for instance. Thanks to the survey, we have a better understanding of Fremont’s available labor pool. We know, for example, that 99 percent of those surveyed are willing to retrain or learn new job skills.
